Managed Security

Continuous monitoring, detection, and response that runs while you run your business.

// Overview

Buying a security tool is easy; running security is hard. Most attacks succeed not because a business had no defenses, but because no one was watching when it mattered, the weaknesses never got fixed, or the people were never taught to spot the trick. Our Managed Security services exist to close that operational gap — the ongoing, day-to-day work of actually defending your business that most small and mid-sized organizations cannot realistically staff in-house.

These services work as a system. Monitoring and detection watch your environment around the clock and respond when a threat appears. Vulnerability management keeps finding and closing the gaps attackers look for. Security engineering builds and hardens the defenses in the first place. Awareness training shuts down the human path that so many attacks rely on. Each one strengthens the others, and together they form a continuous cycle of building strong defenses and keeping them strong.

We ground everything in recognized standards — the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK, the CIS Controls, and established SOC and incident-response practice — and we deliver it in plain English, sized for a real business rather than a hypothetical enterprise. You get senior-led security operations without the cost and complexity of standing up your own team.

// How we work

Our methodology

  1. 1Understand your businessWe start by learning what you run, where your important data and access live, and what risks matter most to you — so the service protects what actually counts.
  2. 2Onboard & establish a baselineWe connect the right systems, tune tooling to your environment, and agree how and when we escalate, so protection is meaningful from day one.
  3. 3Monitor & defend continuouslyWe watch your environment around the clock, find and close weaknesses, harden your defenses, and prepare your people — the ongoing work of staying secure.
  4. 4Respond when it countsWhen a real threat appears, we investigate, contain it, and guide you through remediation with clear, plain-English next steps.
  5. 5Report & improveWe report regularly on what we handled and how your posture is trending, and we keep tuning the program as threats and your business evolve.
// FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What are managed security services?
Managed security services are the ongoing operation of your defenses by an outside team — monitoring, detection and response, vulnerability management, engineering, and awareness training delivered as a service. They give small and mid-sized businesses the day-to-day security capability of a much larger organization without hiring and staffing an in-house team.
How do these services fit together?
They form a cycle. Engineering builds and hardens your defenses, vulnerability management keeps finding and closing new gaps, monitoring and detection watch for and respond to active threats, and awareness training defends against attacks aimed at your people. You can start with one and add others, but together they cover the whole picture.
Do we need all of these or can we start with one?
You can start with whichever addresses your most pressing risk — often monitoring and detection, or fixing what a recent assessment found. We scope a sensible starting point and build from there, rather than pushing everything at once.
How is a managed service different from a one-time project?
A project has a start and an end — a penetration test or a hardening effort. Managed services are continuous, because security is not a one-time state. New vulnerabilities appear, your environment changes, and attackers keep probing, so the defensive work has to be ongoing to keep up.
Do you replace our IT team or work alongside them?
We work alongside your existing IT, whether that is an internal team or an outside provider. They keep your systems running; we bring the specialized security capability, monitoring, and expertise that general IT support usually is not staffed to deliver. We coordinate closely so nothing falls between the cracks.
How do these services support compliance and cyber insurance?
Continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, documented response, and security awareness training are common requirements or favorable factors for cyber insurance and for frameworks such as the NIST CSF and CIS Controls. Our reporting is built to evidence that work, though we support your compliance rather than act as your auditor.
What size of business are these services for?
They are designed specifically for small and mid-sized businesses that need serious security but cannot justify building an in-house team. We scope the depth of each service to your size and risk, so you get enterprise-grade protection without enterprise-grade overhead.
